The Bahamas and Germany link up for a new single Jamaican style. Reggae is a global force and the work of Peter Runks and Pow Pow is some of the best in international reggae. “Why Should I” off the album “Words of Truth” is the result.

Reggae artiste Peter Runks has been making a name for himself, especially since his hit single “Badness Outta Style” and he has kept up his positive messages since making his music relevant, important and relatable at all times. With a brand new album available on all major digital outlets as well as store in the Caribbean and parts of the US, Peter Runks shows no sign of slowing down. His new album “Words of Truth” has received positive reviews from his native Bahamas to Jamaica and from Holland to the US.

On “Words of Truth” Peter Runks decided to collaborate with Jamaican artiste Mikey General as well as fellow Bahamian artistes Landlord and Avalanche. Furthermore he decided to team up with some of the best producers out of Germany and Pow Pow is a name known for reggae far beyond the borders of Germany. Pow Pow are known as an accomplished international sound systems as well as a label and producers and Peter Runks got the link through producer and artiste manager Culture Shock.

Peter explains that he decided to do a song on the Pow Pow produced riddim because he saw it as a great opportunity to work with an international and established label such as Pow Pow and simultaneously showcase the talents from the Bahamas.

Peter says “They sent the riddim and I fell in love with it right away, so I wrote the song “Why Should I” because I've noticed in life and also in this music industry that there are a lot of people who thinks that they can start or stop your destiny. Only God has the power to control our destiny, so my point is, we have to ask ourselves this question. Why should I sit and worry about what others say or think when God is in control?”

Peter Runks is currently busy with performances and with promoting his album “Words of Truth”.
