Whandah has said of her work: “I was brought up by a grandmother that makes sure I was involved in ever musical activities in church. My Father and Brothers was always playing music around me, so I can strongly say it has always been in me. “Since then, my style has developed and I’ve incorporated all the sounds I love and created my owned style of genres which I called Dainty Reggae.
With her unique style, Whandah refuses to restrict her influences to one artist. Instead, she has been influenced by numerous artists and genres of music from across the world, including, Bob Marley, Screechy dan, Mahalia Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Tracy Chapman and Whitney Houston amongst many others.
