Truthmaze is one of the originators and premier
hip hop artists in Minnesota, beginning in 1983, as a vocal percussionist (beatboxer) known as B-Fresh. He was part
of one of the first hip hop recordings from Minnesota to reach national presence as part of the I.R.M. Crew, and has
been recording since 1986 with such groups as I.R.O.C., Brown Mark (of Prince and the Revolution), Mixed Breed
and The Mighty Micronauts, whose infamous debut album was recently re-released on Rhymesayers Entertainment.
In
1989, he embarked into the genre of spoken word and as excel there as well. He is one of the most dynamic spoken word artists
on the scene, with his performance infusing everything from African drumming, jazz, hip hop, to neosoul. He has been a member
of a number of bands and collectives, in addition to the ones mentioned above, including Trektah Beam Express, Blak
Pham, Moveable Feast and the Dijonettes. He sings, plays percussions, rhymes, beatboxes, and has been compared
to Gil Scott Heron, Saul Williams, KRS One, the Last Poets, among others.
Recently hosted the Cheap Cologne CD release
party, The Hook Up New Years Eve Party and the Nubia's Rhythm! Respect! event, and can be seen performing at various venues
in the Twin Cities. In February, he will be traveling to London for performances, and the European release of his upcoming
solo debut CD, Expansion and Contraction (Psoems 1:1). In March, he will release the album in the States, with
a CD release party at the Varsity Theatre.

Expansions + Contractions receives accolades in year end music polls - December 2006
Expansions + Contractions
(Psoems 1:1), the debut solo album of legendary hip hop artist, Truthmaze, receives an Honorable Mention from the City
Pages, as part of their Top Ten Local Albums of the Year review. The album has already been noted as one of the best albums
of the year by Star Tribune, chosen in the top 10 by music critic Peter Scholtes. It was also chosen in music critic Jon Jon's
top 10 albums of the year, in a Village Voice poll, and receive a mention in Rift Magazine's Albums of the Year Issue. Congrats

Legendary Twin Cities hip hop artist and
beatboxer extraordinaire, Truthmaze, featured in television and radio commercials for NBA team Detroit Pistons. The commercials,
created by award-winning Twin Cities ad agency, Olson, began airing in the Michigan area in November.

e.g. bailey + Truthmaze, along with DJ Fundamentalist traveled to
Leeds, England to work with youth from the Leeds Young Authors spoken word youth organization. Truthmaze also debuted his
new album, Expansions + Contractions (Psoems 1:1), and was featured on BBC Radio and Television.

Patriot Acts - November 2005
Patriot Acts was the third in a 3-part
series created and presented as part of BRIDGES; a performance art project of Pangea World Theater. The culmination of a two
year initiative, and 2 months of research in the UK, France, Bonsia and other locations, this spoken word + hip hop theatre
production explored the challenges in a post-9/11 world and the growing debate of individual rights and freedom. Spanning
theatre, dance, hip hop, spoken word, music and videography, with a soundtrack beatboxed by Truthmaze, Patriot Acts forged
new ground in performance and theatre aesthetics. Featured artists include: Khadijah Ibrahiim, Michele Scally Clark (Leeds,
England), Flavia Muller Merdeiros (Brazil/London), Andrea Reynolds, Me-K Ahn, Truthmaze, Shá Cage, Dancing Dave, e.g. bailey
(Liberia,US), Amanda Furches, Ibé Kaba (Guinea/US), Ole Seyi Ogunjobi (Nigeria/England) and others. Acknowledgements to the
