The local Jamaican dancehall fraternity woke to sad news this morning that member of the popular dancehall group Voicemail Oneil Edwards was shot at his residence early Monday morning, reports are that he was shot a total of three (3) times, one which lodged in his brain.

Several Facebook and Twitter users have been updating their status as R.I.P. however these abbreviations are not needed as he is still alive up to news time at 12:00pm local Jamaican time. He was taken to a private hospital where he is undergoing treatment and a brain scan.

The entertainment and music fraternity came out in support of this Voicemail member in Half Way Tree square, where prayers and hys were led by recording artiste Mr.Vegas. Other industry members present were Tami Chynn, Alaine, Jay Will, Raine Seville, Stacious, Ward 21, Tifa, D'Angel, Natalie Storm, ZJ Chrome, Richie Rass, and others.

We pray for the this brother as he fights the good fight to once again grace the world stage where he belongs. Continue the international chain of prayer as we are all pray for Oneil Edwards.
