MELPO MELLZ - singer/songwriter/profesional dancer and choreographer -

“Addicted to music and passionate about the art of dance”.

Melpo Mellz is of Greek descent but raised in Sweden. She was mesmerized by the world of dance and music even as a child. She was a member of the Swedish dance crew, Skillz-Dance Will Never Die and now shes a member of international dance crew DOUBLE TROUBLE!! Although she is inspired by many different music and dance forms, her primary focus is on dancehall and hip hop. She counts herself fortunate to have been associated with many different music videos, live events and promotions around the world as a dancer and choreographer. Her name has been linked to such illustrious brands as Puma (Finland), Nokia, MTV, Adidas, The International Reggae World Music Awards (IRAWMA in NYC), Juste Debout (Paris), The Asylum Dance Club, A Dance For Grace (Jamaica) and KORA (Africa). She has choreographed and danced for the likes of Lady Saw, Million Stylez, and Avalon and served as opening act for Ryan Leslie and Fabolous in Sweden. She has also taught classes and workshops in Sweden, Ukraine, Spain and New York City.

MELPO MELLZ served an integral role in the reggae/dancehall movie “A Dance for Grace” and behind the scenes as lead choreographer for the dance moves performed by the lead dancers/actors, and also appears in the film as Natasha, another of the dancers in the movie. Movie PREMIER Nov 17th, 2010 Kingston, Jamaica.

As a SINGER/SONGWRITER, she has been working with producer and artist GMAC (Jamaica), Sam Diggy (Jamaica), and Clurel (New York) which they wrote and produced her first single “ Anotha Level”.
