BLACK MATTIC

Kenny Lee, better known by his stage name, Black Mattic, is an artist from Kingston, Jamaica. He has also lived in Waterhouse and is a past student of Norman Manley High School. Known as one of the upcoming artists leading the contemporary Dancehall movement, Black Mattic has been a large part of the music scene since he started. In 2003 Black Mattic started his own record label call “Official Hitz Entertainment". Being no stranger to industry obstacles, he is well educated about the business. Black Mattic plans on becoming an icon by creating classic albums and help upcoming artists the share the same passion similar to his.
His first hit single, "Never Give Up", was release in early 2010. He was nicknamed Black Mattic by his friends because of the fact that his ideas for a song comes automatically “as he hears the beat (riddim)”.
His hit tracks for 2009/2010 were “Walk and Wine”, "Tic Toc Tic", "Work Too Hard", “Wi Struggle”, "Favorite Girl" and the crazy track that he plans to rip the charts with entitled "Never Give Up" has made tremendous dancehall reviews especially in the Caribbean and the U.S. He has released a compilation dancehall album entitled The Coliseum, with members from “Di Nation”. Black Mattic is ready for additional opportunities that this type of career can offer; like movies, endorsements, commercial etc. Black Mattic knows he has a style that no other artist personifies. His musical flow and ideas range from rap to dance hall to reggae. He wants to continue to make good music that articulates his life story and inspire upcoming artist on the verge for success.
