DELLY RANX

Born in Kingston, JA, Delroy Isaac Foster aka Delly Ranx has been a fixture in the Reggae Dancehall scene since his youth. Now a critically acclaimed artiste and producer, Delly Ranx represents the pinnacle of reggae music in the modern era. Blending conscious lyrics on dancehall and culture riddims, Delly is a versatile artiste with one constant, the universal upliftment of all peoples through his music.

Delly comes from humble beginnings growing up in South Side Kingston. Always a hard worker, he graduated from high school and took a job in a supermarket before breaking out on to the music scene. Delly’s talent was recognized at an early age by his close friend Alsus who encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Taking Alsus’s advice, Delly entered and won a youth talent contest earning the recognition and respect of his peers and birthing the artiste Delly Ranx.

DELLY RANXDelly’s first hit came as a soundclash tune called “Soundboy General” produced by Anthony Redroze. The hits continued to pile up with songs like “Gal Know More than You”, “Headache”, and “Pelpa”, to name a few. International tours and performances followed as Delly’s fame continued to grow.

Delly expanded on his talents by delving into music production and starting his own label, Pure Music. He produced the Hennessey Riddim which includes Sean Paul’s “Ganja Breed” off the multi-platinum selling album Dutty Rock. Also, Movado’s Billboard hit “Weh Dem a Do” was produced by Delly on his Redbull and Guinness Riddim. Delly continues to excel as a producer with three top ten songs off his Saudi Arabia Riddim including "Things A Come Up" by Buju Banton, "Matey Anthem" by Teflon and "The Almighty" by Gramps Morgan.

DELLY RANXDelly released his second album “Good Profile” in 2009 which showcases his flexibility as a cultural writer while maintaining his love for dancehall. The album features a reinvention of the Johnny Osbourne classic “Ice Cream Love” along with fresh and innovative songs like “Working Class” and “The World Needs Love”.

A pioneer in dancehall, Delly is now focusing on the music that made him an icon in the industry. With riddim projects like "Saudi Arabia" and "Earth Strong" Delly is bringing dancehall back to its original sound by slowing down the tempo of his beats. In addition, Delly Ranx provides a consistent positive message in his music, a refreshing change from the gun songs that dominate much of the lyrical content in today's dancehall music.

DELLY RANXA long time friend of Buju Banton, Delly produced a collaboration song entitled "Thunder Roll" with partial proceeds being deposited directly into the Gargamel's commissary account. On December 3, 2011 Delly Ranx performed at the Buju Banton Benefit concert. In a recent interview Delly commented, "We want the people to know that Buju is still around although he's behind bars, not because they say he's guilty means he's guilty."

In January of 2012 Delly will be hitting the road with Anthony B on a tour across the United States. His new single "Cook Hennessy" is in regular rotation in New York City, Jamaica and the UK with a video dropping soon. The sky is the limit for Delly Ranx as he continues to record hit songs and produce unparalleled dancehall riddims.
